Working with our membership, ITAC establishes and sets targets for where Canada's knowledge economy should be compared to key peer/competitor nations. Where we fall short, ITAC determines what we need to do to get there and ensure we do what is needed in areas such as: skills, capital, tax, science & technology, and collaboration.
ITAC believes Canadian businesses should be leaders in the use of ICT for competitive advantage, productivity and growth. Use of ICT by small and medium enterprises should increase towards that of our US counterparts. By partnering with other associations, as well as with Government, we work to ensure public policy supports these goals.
ITAC strives to ensure Federal, Ontario and other Canadian Governments are leaders in ICT use. ITAC positions itself as a trusted advisor to Government. We gather industry leaders and Government together and work to make it easier for our industry to sell to government.
ITAC believes the Canadian healthcare system should be a world-leading user of ICT to achieve superior patient outcomes and cost-effectiveness, as well as fostering development of a world-leading Canadian health ICT industry. ITAC works to correct chronic under-spend on ICT.
ITAC’s view is Canada’s laws should promote leadership in development and use of advanced technology. We want to ensure efficient and cost-effective measures to protect privacy and instill confidence in the e-economy.
ITAC believes that in order for Canada to continue to compete worldwide, we need to promote policies that will ensure a steady supply of talented men and women for our local ICT industry. We work with industry as well as with Federal, Provincial and local governments to establish initiatives to support this goal.

How do I contribute prizes?
We will draw for many prizes to be given out at the luncheon and golf awards, immediately following ITAC's Golf Tournament on June 18. In addition to the draw for these regular prizes, we will have a silent auction for which we will draw for five or six significant prizes (value $300 and up). These fund-raising proceeds will be given to a charity to be determined. We are seeking your donations for the prize table draw and/or for the charity fund-raisers. Prizes, identifying the donor, will be displayed on the prize table throughout the luncheon and golf awards. We will also make special mention of the donations during this event. Even if you have already signed up as a sponsor of the golf tournament, you may also wish to donate a product/service as a prize, or cash, if you wish us to purchase something on your behalf. Will you help? and get some good promotional value for your company at the same time?

Venue
Glen Abbey Golf Club will be remembered for years as the site of "The Shot of 2000" - Tiger Woods' 218-yard 6-iron from a fairway bunker on the 18th hole to set up the birdie that clinched the Canadian Open and the Triple Crown. (Tiger's Triple included his victories in the 2000 U.S., British and Canadian Opens.) Canada's No. 8 ranked golf course is open to anyone wishing to retrace Tiger's historic steps and challenge Jack Nicklaus' first solo design. Opened in 1976, Glen Abbey is held in high esteem by Tour players for its difficulty - 7,112 yards, Slope 140 from the Black tees - but it is surprisingly accommodating from the shorter tees. You can freewheel with the driver on its receptive fairways, but the greens are devilishly undulating and protected by steep bunkers. Nine-minute tee-time intervals help keep play moving along, and the maintenance is immaculate. Glen Abbey is in Oakville, Ontario, just west of Toronto.
