Michael Green is the President and CEO for Agfa HealthCare Canada based in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, Michael oversees Agfa HealthCare's Canadian sales and services operations and the Research & Development facility in Waterloo.

Michael joined Agfa in 1985 from a position as head of the UK Laboratory Diagnostics Division at Boehringher Mannheim Corporation in London, England. During his time with Agfa, Michael became head of the UK Medical Imaging business and established Agfa as a leading player in the emerging PACS market.

In 2001, Michael moved to Canada he became head of Agfa's Americas Informatics division and head of Global Marketing for Agfa HealthCare.

Early in his working career and prior to joining Agfa, Michael started work in the field of clinical biochemistry and then gained a broad commercial experience in sales and marketing, in the pharmaceutical, in-vitro diagnostics and medical device fields, gaining international market experience in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, Canada and the United States.

Michael has successfully led Agfa HealthCare Canada through a transition process to its current industry leading market position in the healthcare IT industry. In addition to his many achievements with Agfa, he has played an instrumental role in securing a number of major regional and provincial healthcare IT contracts.

David Mosher

As Product Manager, David is the key business owner and driver of RelayHealth in Canada. David is accountable for the ongoing development of the business plan and develops and drives the sales and marketing plans, profit and loss management, and strategic relationships. He also acts as a liaison between the field and the development organizations addressing business, marketing, and functional requirements for product improvements or new product features. David monitors progress of all sales, development and implementation/customer service metrics versus business plan targets and recommends adjustment in the plan as required.

RelayHealth is a solution that addresses the pressing need for an Electronic Health Record in Canada. This solution provides the ability to connect and share clinical information between health care providers and patients in a secure manner.

Prior to McKesson, David was HP Canada’s Healthcare Business Manager. He was responsible for the design and execution of business development programs focused on improving Canada's healthcare system by applying HP's broad solution portfolio.

In a previous position as HP’s Global Principal Consultant for one of the world’s largest global network equipment providers, David directed the sale and delivery of HP consulting services in North America, Asia Pacific and Europe. He managed major technology infrastructure and data centre projects that addressed and improved critical functions such as e-commerce, supply chain management, customer relationship management, and business and IT process transformation.

David has also held a number of additional important and diverse roles at HP Canada, including Senior Business Development Consultant, Financial Services for such clients as CIBC, Manulife and the Royal Bank, and HP Technical Consultant Manager for products and solutions, in which he supervised a team of consultants across Canada specializing in storage, personal computing and printing.

David earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Management from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont.

He has been a board member for ITAC Healthcare since 2006 and is currently the Vice-chair. David also a member of The Hospital for Sick Children’s Family Centred Care Advisory Council.

Dr. Brendan Byrne

Brad Buss is the eHealth Solutions Lead for Bell Business Markets in Ontario and is responsible to support Bell's Healthcare program in Ontario and advises on Bell's national healthcare strategy.

Brad's healthcare experience is both international and spans the country and he has been involved in many significant healthcare IT initiatives at their early inception and combines over 18 years of IT software, professional services, and management consulting expertise with deep sales and business development knowledge across the continuum of care - community, primary care, mental health, hospital and jurisdictional environments.  Brad's involvement in industries (international as well as Canadian) such as banking, insurance, and government enables him to create innovative solutions to the current issues faced by governments and their health system programs. 

His knowledge and experience with the integration of information technology systems and sharing of information has been a constant theme throughout his career and he brings this experience into play to leverage Bell's capabilities through its core offerings. Brad has experience with start-up companies, created and managed global (North America, Europe, Asia) vendor relationships, negotiated and directed the resulting partnership agreements, and ensured the direct and indirect channels were compatible and profitably contributing to revenue. 

Brad sits on the Board of the Ontario HIMSS Chapter, is an Advisory Board Member of the Sir Frederick Banting Legacy Foundation, and a member of York Angel Investors.

Sam Chebib has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nightingale since April 2002. Prior to founding Nightingale, Mr. Chebib was the President and Chief Operating Officer, from April 2000 to September 2001, of a public healthcare information company listed on TSX specializing in physician practice management systems for the Canadian, United States and Australian markets. Mr.Chebib held a number of positions between 1988 and April 2000 with Toromont Industries Ltd., a public company listed on TSX specializing in construction equipment, energy and industrial equipment.

His last position with Toromont Industries Ltd. from January 1996 to April 2000, was as Vice-President & General Manager of Toromont Energy, a division of Toromont Industries Ltd. He also instrumented the acquisition of the medical and dental assets of Medifirst, a private healthcare delivery company, as part of a family business. Mr. Chebib holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and became a professional engineer in Ontario in 1992. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Mr. Cherian has served government healthcare organizations, providers and pharmaceutical clients across Canada, in the US and the Asia-Pacific Region. His consulting career is complemented by industry experience working in academic health science organizations - University Health Network and North York General Hospital. Mr. Cherian’s areas of focus are clinical informatics, operations analysis and strategy development for healthcare organizations.

Mr. Cherian leads Accenture’s Healthcare Management Consulting Practice in Canada. In this role, he is focused on serving health care clients across Canada by leading the required strategic analysis, technology implementation and transformation efforts needed to deliver improved performance and business results.

Mike joined GE in 2004 as VP, Business Development. His passion for the healthcare business took him to the Clinical Systems group in 2006 and then into his role on the Country Marketing team focused on Alternative Finance programs, Private Market and Public-Private-Partnership (P3) initiatives for GE Healthcare in Canada. In 2007 Mike moved into his current role as General Manager, GE Healthcare IT, Canada. Mike is responsible for IITS Enterprise Sales, Service, Applications and Professional Services in Canada.

As part of Oracle’s healthcare team, Pam sources solutions, experience and best practice from around the world.

Recently, Pam organzing the third annual international forum at HIMSS for Oracle customers implementing iEHR. The strategic information sessions provided customers from countries such as France, Norway, Singapore, UK and Canada with an opportunity to share experiences and issues experienced at various stages of implementing this complex consumer solution.

Pam is also Oracle's lead liaison with Canada Health Infoway, and as educates CHI on Oracle prodcuts, further this relationship with CHI allows Pam to provide feedback and future requirements information to  Oracle’s product strategy teams.

Prior to joining Oracle, Pam served as Business Development Manager for public sector accounts for MTS/Allstream and was the Canadian Country Manager for UK based Nexor.

Gary Folker

Gary Folker is responsible for the strategic planning, ongoing development and growth of Orion Health in Canada.  He draws from more than 30 years of experience pioneering healthcare technology in Canada and is ideally positioned to guide business development for the leading eHealth provider.

Prior to joining Orion Health in May 2011, Gary was Managing Director for Healthcare with xwave (a Bell Company).  In that role, he built and managed partnerships and propelled development of integrated healthcare solutions such as xwaveEMR, a hosted Application Service Provider (ASP) electronic medical record for primary-care physicians.  

Gary has exemplary credentials that include spearheading the implementation of Canada’s first fully-integrated electronic patient chart; introducing into the country high-volume scanning of patient records; and creating the largest healthcare document-capture facility in North America. Gary has held various senior-management and executive positions, including Chief Operating Officer of a major Canadian health-informatics firm. He has directed development of technology solutions and expanded services that resulted in the introduction of many leading medical technologies into the country.

He is a CPHIMS-CA certified professional and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Acadia University.


David Pattenden

David is responsible for the development and implementation of the National Healthcare Industry Strategy at Microsoft Canada. David lead’s the practice of taking Microsoft’s global strategy, assets and capabilities and applying them to serve the needs of the Canadian market.

Prior to joining Microsoft, David held a variety of positions in both the Private and Public Sectors over the past 15 years. Most recently David was Vice President of a province-wide initiative that was focused on enabling and implementing electronic medical records. In the Private Sector, David has held senior sales positions with several leading IT software and consulting services firms.  In these roles, he gained experience and insight by working with senior leaders in the Public Sector and Healthcare Industry across Canada. In addition, David has been a regular guest lecturer for MBA and academic programs, has worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry, and as a staff member on two Provincial election campaigns.

David holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, a post-graduate diploma in Information Technology, and is currently working towards completing his thesis for an international M.B.A program in the U.K. David lives in Toronto with his wife and 2 children.

Lisa Purdy, MHSc, Partner, Deloitte.  For over fifteen years Lisa has worked with individual providers, regional systems, provincial health organizations/agencies and the Health Ministries in addressing their governance, operations, and technology solution requirements.  Through her work she regularly facilitates the convergence of the vendor and provider communities to ensure innovative, sustainable solutions are advanced in the health industry.

Lisa started her career in the private sector with a focus on research and market analysis and transitioned to the health sector through a graduate degree in health administration from the University of Toronto.   Lisa has spent the past 15 years focused on the health industry with her roles in government, hospital, and provincial agencies providing a foundation for a career in health services consulting.  For the past 5 years, Lisa has been a partner at Deloitte and is the leader of the National Health Services Practice. Through her leadership role at Deloitte, Lisa has developed relationships and regularly advises leaders from the vendor, provider, and government communities.

Lisa contributes her leadership to various advisory boards, including Ivey Centre for Health Innovation and Leadership, Toronto Board of Trade Liveability Committee, and the Conference Board of Canada’s Centre for Advancement of Health Innovation.

Robert James Shave, President of Cerner Canada, oversees all aspects of Cerner Canada’s new business development, system sales, client support, delivery, consulting, and business partnerships as well as innovation and supplier relationships.

Shave joined Cerner in 1996 as a Regional Marketing Manager. In that role, Shave was given responsibility for building a sales organization to drive new business in Canada. Shave was named Vice President in March 1999 and took on increased responsibility for business development in Canada. Since 1996, he has grown Cerner’s business in Canada from annual revenues of less than $1 million USD to more than $40 million USD. And, more than 200 healthcare facilities in Canada are now using Cerner’s solutions.

Prior to joining Cerner, Shave was Health Industry Marketing Manager at Digital Equipment for four Robert James Shave years and with CyCare Canada for 10 years. CyCare provided custom developed solutions to support PRESIDENT, Canada oncology as well as turnkey solutions for physicians’ group practices.

Mr. Shave has been active in numerous aspects of the promotion of healthcare information technology in Canada since 1981.

Niall Wallace is co-founder and CEO of Infonaut Inc, a privately held Canadian company that was born out of Ontario's SARS experience, dedicated to solutions that address infectious disease surveillance and control.

Niall has developed deep expertise in innovative, web-based visualization platforms that use the power of ultra-accurate and real-time indoor location technology and location-based business intelligence systems.

Infonaut is currently launching their new software Hospital Watch Live (HWL) that targets the control and reduction of Hospital Acquired Infections.

He is actively involved in the engagement of senior political and policy leadership both in Canada federally and provincially, and the US, to further innovation and public health priorities that contribute to safety, quality of care and reducing healthcare costs.
